Aproximación á sintaxe da prensa escrita en lingua galega

Abstract

The present work is intended to expose important data on the current situation of the Galician language in such an important field as the printed modes of communication. The corpus of analysis consists of a total of ten publications: five issues of the journal A Nosa Terra and five of Galicia Hoxe. Notwithstanding, this study is not aimed at constituting a representative analysis of the characteristics of the Galician language in general, but is rather focused on its syntactic aspects since we consider them to be the most relevant ones to the internal structure of the language. Consequently, we find it crucial to explore the state of this discipline within theoretical, grammatical discussions. Our analysis wants to demonstrate that the praxis of the studied means of communication is highly altered and, in most cases, this alteration is the direct result of a strong castilianisation, not only at a lexical level, but also at a syntactic level.
