This study focuses on dissonance, the innominable and the study of temporality in the poetic work of Xela Arias.
The analysis of temporality begins by examining the opening poem of Denuncia do equilibrio [Condemnation of the Equilibrium], focuses primarily on a poem from Darío a diario [Daily Darío] as its central theme and ends with the poem that includes the line “being untimely.” Dissonance is examined by an analysis of two of her best poems and the title of her final work. The aspect of the innominable is approached from the perspective of the line “galicia and us a knot of verbs in the balls of string of names”.
It also deals with other motifs such as shadows, the law, loss, the city, the village, drunkenness, motherhood, love, and different scenarios, whether urban, rural or symbiotic suburbs.
