Abstract

This essay argues that many of the keys that explain the stories and the stylistic options used by Carlos Casares for his long series of articles published in the newspaper La Voz de Galicia under the title “Á marxe”, can be found in Casares’ own childhood. Although these articles were like a sort of diary, only lacking in his more intimate experiencies, they were also a place of encounter with his readers, a gathering where everyone was invited to join in.
