Two collections of poems in confrontation , two authors’ latest and last works, Cribeiro and Lois Pereiro, A señardade no puño (“Nostalgia in your hand”) e Poesía última de amor e enfermidade, 1992-1995 (“Last poetry of love and sickness 1992-1995”), respectively. The presence of death in both, the thanatic feeling of being living through a near, fatal end out of season and time, death anticipated and announced by all the symptoms, visible or not. The former, Cribeiro, stood back from the world, giving himself up, to meet its own death alone. The latter, Pereiro, did not hide himself away. Living through counter death, demurely or immodestly.
