Abstract

This paper deploys a set of notes that characterize the speech of the municipality of Cerdido, located in the region of Ortegal. Its most outstanding phonetic, morphosyntactic and lexical characteristics are indicated with respect to common Galician, taken from the knowledge of the author and mainly from of the recordings of conversations maintained with people of Cerdido. Of particular interest are some phonetic phenomena such as the realization of the encounter of the comparative conjunction que with the article a or of the encounter of the adverb non followed by the form é; and also, certain very particular features of verbal morphology.
